Fridge Magnets that are manufactured by Mister Magnets® have three components as seen below. The material is 0.6mm with a finished overall thickness of 0.8mm.
Fridge Magnet Material
Mister Magnets® uses a 0.6mm thick commercial grade rubber-iron alloy with high magnesium content for a strong hold on fridges and filing cabinets that does not diminish over the years. It is flexible and returns to its flat shape even after being bent. It can withstand a maximum temperature of 80°C.
Fridge Magnet Printed Stock
Mister Magnets® uses 170gsm art stock for printing artwork onto fridge magnets. This is then adhered to our magnetic material to make it stick. The thin art stock is great because it is less likely to peel off and ‘dog-ear' from the magnetic material. It is also lighter than thicker stocks, meaning your magnet can hold more on the fridge.
Fridge Magnets - CelloSheen Finish
Mister Magnets® uses a clear cellosheen gloss finish to give the finished magnet a nice professional appearance while protecting the magnet from fading and getting dirty after years of being on someone's fridge.
Fridge Magnets Manufacturing Process
Mister Magnets® uses a High Definition CMYK Digital Print Process to ensure excellent quality and full colour images and magnet designs as well as fast turnaround times. Operating costs are also relatively low on shorter runs allowing us to sell magnets in shorter runs without having to charge any nasty setup fees.
The print is adhered to the magnetic material and the cellosheen then seals all that advertising potential into each fridge magnet.

Magnetic Material for Signs & Car Door Magnets
Mister Magnets® uses a thick 0.8mm commercial grade rubber-iron alloy with high magnesium content for a strong hold on outdoor surfaces and vehicles that will not lose any of its original strength even after years and years. Magnets made from this material can comfortably cling to most vehicles when travelling at speeds of up to 130 km/h.
Printed Vinyl for Signs & Car Door Magnets
Mister Magnets® uses a 0.1mm absorbent vinyl that is specifically designed to retain colours printed onto it for longer. This ensures when used in combination with our UV inks that your design will retain its fresh and vibrant look for years to come, even when exposed to the hot Australian sun.
Laminate for Signs & Car Door Magnets
Mister Magnets® have two kinds of laminating film available for selection.
The first is the standard matte laminate finish. This laminate is completely weatherproof and protects the artwork on your magnet from the rain and sun, helping to ensure that your artwork stays looking clean, fresh and professional even in extreme weather conditions.
The second is a dry erase finish. This laminate appears glossy however it is made to be written on with a whiteboard marker and is erasable. It is commonly used for whiteboards, menus and warehouse labels.
Manufacturing Process for Signs & Car Door Magnets
The vinyl is has the artwork printed onto it using high grade UV protected inks that keep it from fading for years. The vinyl is then adhered to the magnetic material and the selected laminate is applied to the top of the vinyl.
The combination of UV inks and the protective vinyl are so effective that we actually offer a 5-Year No-Fade Guarantee on all of our Magnetic Signs.
Flyers and Mailer Cards that are printed by Mister Magnets® have a few different options available for selection as seen below.
170gsm gloss art paper
This stock is perfect for single or double sided flyers and are a cheaper alternative to thicker stocks.
250gsm gloss art board
This stock is thicker and sturdier than the 170gsm stock. It can be printed on one or two sides and is a little cheaper than our 350gsm stock, making it an extremely popular option for tabbed or tipped flyers and mailer cards.
350gsm gloss art board
This stock is even thicker and sturdier than the 250gsm stock. It is less likely to bend in the mail and is excellent when used for tipped mailer cards. It can be printed on one or two sides and has the option of having one side laminated for an extra glossy and protected finish.
CelloSheen Finish for Flyers & Mailer Cards
Mister Magnets® has a clear cellosheen gloss finish as an available option for 350gsm mailer cards to give the finished design a nice glossy appearance while protecting the design.
Mister Magnets® uses a 0.6mm thick self adhesive magnetic tab for use on tabbed flyers and mailer cards. They are also available for purchase for DIY tab sticking. They have dimensions of 20mm x 38mm and tend to be placed centered about 15mm from the top of a DL flyer.
Mister Magnets® uses a soft glue for tipping fridge magnets onto flyers and mailer cards. This allows magnets to be stuck on for sending to clients via mail, where the consumer is easily able to peel the magnet away and keep for later.
Manufacturing Process for Flyers & Mailer Cards
All of our flyers and mailer cards are printed using a High Definition CMYK Digital Print process, allowing extremely high quality and sharp images in addition to fast turnaround times and variable data customisation.
Tabbed Flyers going through a special high speed, high accuracy tabbing line machine to adhere the tab to the exact spot requested. Tipped Mailer Cards use a special gluing line machine that injects the perfect amount of hot glue onto the card to hold a fridge magnet until a customer is ready to peel it off.
