Promotional magnet manufacturer, Mister Magnets, headquartered at Tullamarine, Melbourne, has experienced growth of around
25 per cent during the last two years.
With 80 per cent of the company’s business spread throughout NSW, Victoria and Queensland, it is currently producing 74,000 magnets a day.
Mister Magnets, which was founded in 1989, says the market increased in 1995 when the magnetic business card was developed, but
it is the more widespread adoption of new products, including magnet tabs and car adhesive tabs that has pushed the latest jump in sales.

The company says the majority of its customers are are from the small business trade sector, including printers seeking supplies for their own clients, however customers also include such firms as ANZ, McDonalds and Goodyear.
Michael Bridges, director of Mister Magnets says, “We receive a lot of orders from printers: if they have a client who wants magnets it’s easier for them tocome through us because we can produce magnets a lot cheaper than they can.”
Bridges concludes, “Magnets are viewed up to 20 times a day, which is more exposure than any other promotional product; they have a
longer life span than the average fridge, giving you much greater value and return on your promotional investment.”
